Abstract
Probiotics help improve the host's microecological balance. Intake of oligosaccharides by probiotics is beneficial to its proliferation and metabolism. The intake process is mainly completed by ABC transporters. The substrate-binding protein of the ABC transporter is capable of binding oligosaccharides in the extracellular region and transmitting them further through the transmembrane region. This paper reviews the oligosaccharide-binding proteins in probiotics in recent years, highlights their structural characteristics, and discusses the functional mechanisms of their oligosaccharide substrates.
