Determination of 7 Polychlorinated Biphenyls in Food Contact Paper Materials by Gas Chromatography

  • A method was developed for the determination of 7 polychlorinated biphenyls residue in food contact paper materials by gas chromatography. The results showed that the linear range of 7 PCBs were 0.002~0.200 mg/L, and average recoveries were in the range of 81.6%~112.2% with relative standard deviation of 2.1%~4.5%, and the limit of quantitation was 0.01 mg/kg. No PCBs were detected in more than 30 samples. The method is suitable for the analysis of 7 PCBs residue in food contact paper materials.
