Determination of Aflatoxin B₁ in Corn Syrup by Organic Solvent Extraction and High Performance Liquid Chromatography

In this paper,corn syrup(dry and wet samples)was taken as sample. The method of organic solvent extraction was used to simplify the sample processing and the recovery rates of aflatoxin B₁ from 4 organic solvents were compared to develop a high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)method for the determination of AFB₁ in corn syrup. The results showed that,dichloromethane was the optimum extractant for sample detection,and the recovery rate of this method was 96.2%~99.3%,the relative standard deviation(RSD)was 0.68%~1.97%. The method was simple,cheap,accurate and suitable for the detection of AFB₁ in corn syrup.
