Abstract
The effect of nutrient content on cell growth and spore formation of A. acidoterrestris DSM 3922T was investigated through single factor and multiple factors experiment. The results showed that glucose, yeast powder, Mn2+ and Mg2+ had significant effect on the cell density and the sporulation rate (p<0.05), among which high concentration of Mn2+ inhibited the growth of A. acidoterrestris, but promoted the formation of spores. And Ca2+, NH4+ and K+ had a non-significant effect as a single factor on the cell density and the sporulation rate (p>0.05). However, the cooperation of Ca2+ with K+ or NH4+ could promote cell growth and spore formation of A. acidoterrestris. The results revealed the influence of trophic factor on growth and spore formation of A. acidoterrestris, which would establish an experimental and theoretical foundation for the control of A. acidoterrestris spore contamination and the preservation of acidic fruit and vegetable products.
