Abstract
This study was to develop a new offline portable detection system for nondestructive detection of pork freshness, including hardware and software designs with a main digital signal processor( DSP) TMS320DM6437 and an auxiliary DSP TMS320F28015.The hardware system consisted of a high-power LED point light source unit,an image acquisition unit,a dualDSP data processing unit and a LCD display unit.In addition, the software system was designed with C programming language in the CCS3.3 the development environment. The detection system was able to predict pork total volatile basic nitrogen(TVB-N)value,pH value and pork color( L*,a*and b*values). The prediction correlation coefficient of validation set( R_V) was 0.92 with prediction standard error( SE_P) of 2.03 for TVB-N,RVwas 0.90 with SE_P of 0.04 for pH value,RVwas 0.94 with SE_P of1.02 for L*; RVwas 0.90 with SE_Pof 0.80 for a*; RVwas 0.91 with SE_P of 0.58 for b*.After debugging and experiment of the hardware and software system,it was verified that the detection speed of the developed system was 4 seconds per sample. In conclusion, the portable device meets the requirements of the site rapid detection in pork meat industrials.
