Research progress of grape seed extract for the prevention of Alzheimer's Dementia

Alzheimer's dementia has become the fourth cause of death in the world,after heart disease,cancer and stroke,the pathogenesis is very complex and has not been studied clearly.All drugs in the treatment of Alzheimer's dementia can only be limited to slow down the deterioration of the condition at present,but can't cure the disease.The latest research suggests grape seed extract can prevent the formation of a starch protein molecules which can lead to cognitive impairment of Alzheimer's dementia in the brain.This paper makes a review on the definition and the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's dementia,and grape seed extract in the application and research of prevention and treatment of Alzheimer 's dementia,which provide a theoretical reference for the future development of prevention or treatment of Alzheimer's dementia by grape seed extract.
