Abstract
Behavior of E. dissolvens under the exposure to weak direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) was investigated by using glucose as the sole carbon source. Water electrolysis was induced in the process of electric field stimulate. When 10mA were applied in the electrode reactions, the implementation of DC led to obvious increase in cell growth and glucose uptake. When AC imposed, the growth of bacteria and degradation of the glucose were lower than the rate of direct current to stimulate indicators were lower than direct current stimulation. Analysis of the reason might be the electrode response led to the solution of the physical and chemical properties caused by changes in the process.
