Macroporous resin purification of Amaranth angiotensin-I converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory peptides

  • The adsorption and desorption rates of 6 types of macroporous resins towards Amaranth angiotensin-I converting enzyme inhibitory peptides were investigated. Among the study, DA201-C resin was the most suitable one to purify the bioactive peptides. When 1BV of 10mg/mL and pH5 sample was flowed at a speed of 6mL/min through DA2-1C resin, the adsorption effect was best with a adsorption rate reaching 83. 69%. Then the adsorbed peptides could be almost exactly eluted with 5BV of 75% (V/V) ethanol at 5mL/min. After the purification, the protein content and salt rejection rate were 89. 47% and 88. 86% respectively, as well as the oligopeptides content and ACE inhibition were changed by 20. 96% and 27. 91%.
