Abstract
The isolation of basil seed oils from Ocimum basilicum L. was studied using the method of microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) . On the basis of single-factor experiments and analysis, the optimal technological conditions of microwave-assisted extraction for basil seed oils were optimized by response surface methodology. Moreover, the effects of three different methods on extraction rate of basil seed oils were also studied. The results showed that the optimum technological conditions of basil seed oils were microwave time of 3min, ratio of solid and liquid of 1∶13 (g/mL) , microwave power of 600W and microwave temperature of 60℃, and the extraction rate of basil seed oils under the optimal conditions was 18.53%. Compared with the other two methods of soxhlet extraction and organic solvent extraction, the method of microwave-assisted extraction had the highest extraction yield and extraction efficiency, and the shortest extraction time.
